The Fayetteville FFA Advanced Parliamentary Procedure team traveled to Peebles High School Nov. 22 to compete in the Sub-District Parliamentary Procedure contest.
The team was chaired by Blaise Boler, the secretary was Faith Stegbauer, and the members were Alex Muddiman, Andrew Stephens, Jason Stephens, and Tyler Kingus. Parliamentary Procedure is a contest were teams are asked to demonstrate how a FFA meeting is to be run. They have to perform abilities given to them by judges, and also discuss the motions they are given, which all go into the team score.
The secretary is also scored on how neat and according to the business of the meeting their minutes are. All of these tasks are to be done in 12 minutes or less. The Fayetteville team placed 4th at the contest. Unfortunately, they were not able to move on to the District contest, but they are looking forward to improve their skills and do better next year.
